Graft & Ledger

Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you buy digital templates from Graft & Ledger, or use this website. Please read them before you buy. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Who we are

Graft & Ledger is a trading name of SRH Management Consultants Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 04923338). Registered office: 32 Byron Hill Road, Harrow on the Hill, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 0HY. Email: orders@graftandledger.com.

"We", "us" and "our" mean SRH Management Consultants Limited, trading as Graft & Ledger. "You" means the person buying or using our products.

2. What we sell

We sell digital templates for UK tradespeople, such as spreadsheets, documents and PDFs for quotes, invoices, CIS records, job sheets and customer messages. Each product page describes what is included, the file formats and what software you need. No physical item is sent for digital products.

We also sell printed paperback logbooks through Amazon. Those are sold under Amazon's terms (see section 4).

3. Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. On this website, the price shown is the amount you pay through Stripe Checkout (we are not currently charging VAT on site sales). If you buy via Gumroad instead, VAT is added at checkout where it applies (for UK buyers, VAT at 20%). The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

4. Buying through Stripe, Etsy or Amazon

We don't take card details on this website. When you click a buy button, you go to another company's checkout:

  • Stripe: payments are processed by Stripe. Graft & Ledger (SRH Management Consultants Limited) is the seller and your contract for the product is with us. Stripe takes your payment and emails your receipt. Your download links appear on our confirmation page after payment. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
  • Etsy: if you buy from our Etsy shop, Etsy processes the payment and makes your files available in your Etsy account. Etsy's terms and policies also apply.
  • Amazon: our paperback logbooks are printed and sold through Amazon. Amazon's conditions of sale, including its returns policy, apply to those books.

Your contract for the content of our products is with us. These terms sit alongside the platform's terms. If they conflict about the product itself, nothing in either takes away your statutory rights.

5. Your right to cancel digital downloads

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content supplied straight away, you lose that right once the download starts, but only if you agreed to this. At checkout you will be asked to tick a box saying:

"I want immediate access to my download. I understand that once the download starts I will lose my 14-day right to cancel."

We confirm this in your receipt. Download links appear on the confirmation page after Stripe payment and work for a limited time; Stripe emails your receipt. Lost your links? Email orders@graftandledger.com. If you haven't started the download, you can still cancel within 14 days by emailing orders@graftandledger.com.

6. Refunds and faulty files

No change-of-mind refunds once you've downloaded, because this is digital content supplied immediately (you confirm this at checkout). This does not affect your statutory rights. If a file is faulty or not as described, email orders@graftandledger.com and we will fix it, replace it or refund you.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn't, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If that isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you can ask for a price reduction or a refund. Please tell us what the problem is so we can put it right.

If our digital content damages your device or other digital content because we didn't take reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation.

7. Your licence to use the templates

When you buy a product, we give you a non-exclusive licence to use it:

  • for yourself, or within your own single business, including your employees and subcontractors working on that business;
  • to fill in, edit and adapt the templates for your own quotes, invoices, records and customer messages, and to send the completed documents to your customers.

You must not:

  • sell, resell, share, give away or publish the files or the templates, whether changed or unchanged, for example on marketplaces, file-sharing sites or as part of another product;
  • use the templates for a second business or for clients' businesses without buying another copy;
  • claim the designs as your own.

The designs and content remain owned by Graft & Ledger. If you break these licence terms, your licence ends.

8. Use of AI

How this was made: The content was drafted with AI tools, then designed, edited and put together by Graft & Ledger, a small UK business. If anything doesn't work as described, email orders@graftandledger.com and we'll fix, replace or refund it.

The AI Quote Assistant and the Complete Trades Office Bundle + AI contain prompts and files for you to use with an AI tool of your choice. They are not an AI service, and we don't provide, host or run any AI tool. You will need your own access to an AI tool, under that tool's own terms and costs.

AI tools can produce answers that are wrong, out of date or incomplete. Check any AI output, especially prices, measurements, tax figures and anything you send to a customer, before you rely on it. You are responsible for what you send to your customers.

9. Not tax, legal or accounting advice

Our templates and logbooks are organisational tools. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. They include features such as VAT and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) calculations and record-keeping layouts, but rules and rates change and your situation may be different. Check GOV.UK and HMRC guidance, or speak to an accountant, about your own tax and legal obligations. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by HMRC.

10. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it would happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when you bought the product.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Our products are for domestic and private use and for use in a small business's own admin. If you use them in a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, as far as the law allows. Our total liability to a business customer for any one order is limited to the price paid for that order.

We are not responsible for delays or problems caused by events outside our reasonable control, or by Stripe, Etsy or Amazon's systems.

11. This website

We try to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but things can change. If there is a mistake in a product description or price, we will tell you and give you the option to cancel and get a refund. Our Privacy and cookies page explains how we handle personal information.

12. Complaints and contact

If you have a problem or a complaint, email orders@graftandledger.com. We aim to reply within 2 working days. If you bought on Etsy, you can also message us on Etsy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones in place when you bought it.

14. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or abroad, you keep any protections given by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
